The World Summit for Innovation in Education (WISE) has organized a discussion panel that included a number of new affiliates to the 'voice of learners programme' at the students centre at the University of Hamad bin Khalifa (HBKU).

The voice of the educated programme was established to empower students and provide them with a platform from which they can discuss their views, experiences and ideas on a range of global issues with a special focus on education issues.

The programme works to activate the skills of learners from around the world and build their capacities in the areas of communications, entrepreneurship, leadership , as well as directing them to become decision-makers in the future in the areas of their jurisdiction. The first group of learners were chosen in 2010 from around the world.

Head of WISE operations section Ali Al Mahmoud said the voice of learners programme is a WISE initiative launched in 2010 with the aim of creating a platform for the students to discuss education issues in which they want to participate.
