As part of the C-Ring Road works currently taking place, the Public Works Authority announced the opening of a vital part of the C-Ring Road to traffic on 10 November 2014. This part will extend from Jabor bin Ahmed Intersection (Ramada Intersection) to Al Kinana Intersection, after the completion of the expansion works currently taking place to increase the number of lanes from three to four lanes in each direction.

Ashghal Completion of C-Ring Road 2 [].jpgAshghal has also announced that works related to C-Ring Road development project have started on Salwa Road on 28 October 2014. Works are taking place on both directions of the road starting from right after Al Asiri Intersection towards Jabor Bin Ahmed Intersection (Ramada Intersection) and to The Centre Roundabout. These works are part of phase four of the C-Ring Road development project, which will be completed by end of this year. This part of the project aims to improve the traffic flow on this part of Salwa Road through doubling its capacity by increasing the number of lanes from two to four lanes in each direction, in addition to converting the Centre Roundabout to a signal-controlled intersection.

It is worth mentioning that Ashghal is working to expedite the implementation of this phase of the C-Ring Road project. Works are taking place around the clock, seven days a week, with the same number of workers working during daytime and nighttime in order to complete works end of December 2014 as scheduled.
