The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will close part of the existing diversion on Mesaieed Road towards Al Wakra and road users will be diverted on to a two lane, 2.6 kilometre long newly built road before continuing on their journey, as shown in the attached map. The diversion will commence on Sunday 16 October 2016 and last for a year, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department. The diversion is required to facilitate the construction of an interchange on Ashghal’s Al Wakra Bypass project, part of its Expressway Programme. Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the diversion. The Public Works Authority requests that all road users abide by the 50 kph speed limit and follow road signs to ensure their safety.
