Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), the joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, In collaboration with “Alkaaban Girls Forum”, successfully concluded its two-week innovative “Future Female Entrepreneurs “program.

The program targeted schoolgirls in the age group of 12 – 18 years old and included five interactive workshops that dealt with creative thinking, business models, budget control, marketing, and a dedicated workshop on how to present their projects. The five educational and interactive workshops were held to provide entrepreneurs with all the needed requirements to set up a successful business project. The first workshop dealt with creative thinking and focused on the best ways to avoid barriers that stand in the way of their progress and how to turn common obstacles into successful business ideas. During the second workshop, the attendees learnt how to deal with commercial business models to help them analyze the local market, the ways to target customer segments by arranging their ideas, and the procedures that must be followed in every step to obtain a comprehensive and integrated business plan.

The attendees also discovered during the third workshop, how to control the budget of their businesses through virtual exercises and models. This workshop offered attendees the knowledge on how to track their gains and expenditures in any of the projects that they seek to establish in the future. The fourth workshop dwelt on the art of marketing through social media, using the potential of each platform to increase sales, and the best ways to disseminate information related to the project to reach the widest possible segment of society. The last workshop touched on the subject of best tools and techniques for preparing presentation about the projects and mistakes that should be avoided during the presentation so that they can communicate their message effectively to investors or to the public clearly.
