Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular weekly meeting at its headquarters in the Emiri Diwan premises on Wednesday.

Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al Mahmoud stated that the Cabinet reviewed several topics on the meeting's agenda. The Cabinet took the necessary procedures to issue draft law on regulating real estate registration, after the Cabinet reviewed the recommendations of the Advisory Council on the draft law.

The draft included rules related to regulating ownership of real estate, documents that require registration, procedures for registration and ratification of signatures, real estate registry data and the real estate registration committee and its work scope. The Cabinet also approved draft agreement on air services between the governments of Qatar and Lebanon. The Cabinet approved the draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the youth and sports fields between the governments of Qatar and Grenada. It also approved the draft MoU on cooperating in Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs field between the governments of Qatar and the Philippines.

The Cabinet then reviewed its draft decision on issuing a national committee for qualifications and academic accreditation, and reviewed the draft decision of the Minister of Interior on forming an inspection and valuation committee at the Ministry of Interiors, its work system and determining its remuneration. The Cabinet also reviewed the draft decision of the Minister of Transport and Communications on forming a temporary inspection and valuation committee. The Cabinet further reviewed the annual report of the permanent emergency committee for the duration of April 1, 2016, to December 31, 2016.

The report included a statement on the results of the panel's work within the duration and its recommendations.
