Carnegie Mellon University was ranked 25 on the “Best National Universities” list in the recently released U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Best College Rankings. The 2015 edition of Best Colleges includes data on nearly 1,800 schools nationwide to help parents and students evaluate their options. Of those, 280 are considered National Universities, which emphasize faculty research and offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master's and Ph.D. programs.
