The Childhood Cultural Center (CCC) has unveiled its action plan for 2014-2015 which mainly targets the holistic development of the child.
 
Childhood center unveils action plan [qatarisbooming.com].jpgCCC Executive Director Dr Hind Al Muftah, revealed the vision, mission and values of the Centre as well as its general and specific aims in line with the national strategy’s development and operational plans during a press conference on Wednesday. Among the strategic aims of the centre she mentioned were to develop the child mentally and psychologically as well as improve his behaviour, skills and knowledge, and this can be done by making parents play a significant role in the child’s development in a healthy environment.
 
Raising awareness among the different segments of the society, creating a culture of protection for children and creating partnerships were also paramount in the development of a child, she said. To achieve its goals, the centre has already organised a number of initiatives such as reading and awareness campaigns as well as activities that hone the talents and skills of children in writing, speaking and art. Other activities being planned for 2014-2015 are Garangao events this coming Ramadan as well as activities during Qatar National Day and Qatar Sports Day. All the initiatives are focused on children up to 18 years of age.
 
The centre has also lined up initiatives to improve its operation as an institution. These initiatives are aimed at developing the work system and procedures and means of presenting services, developing human resources and training, improving the IT and administrative system and providing sustainable sources of fund for the centre. Creating partnership s will also be a priority of the centre which entails creating a good image of the centre among the staff, people dealing with the centre and the society; enhancing and developing means of marketing for the different activities of the centre; developing media production for various activities of the centre; and promotion of means of partnership both locally and internationally.
