Building on the success of previous events around the world, Cisco’s DevNet Express initiative was expanded into Qatar.

DevNet Express is Cisco’s two-day event which aims to teach network engineers and architects how to program and manage their networks, using APIs (application program interfaces). The goal of DevNet is to create a community of infrastructure and application developers and give them hands-on experience and insights via pre-packaged tutorials, instructor-led teaching by highly qualified sales engineers and rewarding through games.

Using open, programmable platforms and learning labs, DevNet empowers developers with the skills needed to innovate, customize and deliver business outcomes using new, secure and more efficient methods. DevNet Express uses emerging digital technologies and Cisco DNA (Digital Network Architecture) to help leaders with business transformation, using Intent-Based Networking as a vital component. The program is open to a large community of customers, partners and engineers, aiming making digital transformation accessible to all.

Commenting on the launch of DevNet Express in Qatar, Hani Raad, Director and General Manager - Middle East West Region at Cisco said: “As a market first, Cisco’s DevNet Express aims to combine our global vision with local knowledge to help developers listen, learn and put into practice a range of teachings and software driven innovations that will aid business growth.

Globally, we have over 500,000 members, who come from more than 39,000 companies. We are proud to give local talent here in Qatar a platform on which to build their skills and accelerate digitization. We look forward to collaborating with an increasing number of local talents and upskilling developers to drive innovation in Qatar forward.”
