In celebration of Garangao, Commercialbank is organising events across its various Branches tonight. Every year the Bank gets involved in Garangao – The most popular Childrens’s festival in Qatar.

Often called “The Festival of Children” - Garangao is observed on 14th day of the Holy Month of Ramadan, every year. Hundreds of children dress up in costumes and participate in fun-packed activities, exchange gifts of bags filled with sweets and nuts and sing traditional songs. Commercialbank’s support of this authentic Qatari tradition reflects the Bank’s commitment to preserve the country’s rich cultural heritage and customs.

Abdulla Al Raisi, DCEO, Commercialbank said: “Commercialbank is an avid supporter of community initiatives and continues to be a proud contributor to Garangao celebrations. Garangao provides an opportunity for us to to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan and Qatar's rich heritage together as a family. Our children are our future, and we hope Garangao continues to be a special event in their lives enabling the younger generation to be surrounded with a sense of true Qatari culture. Commericiabank sees this event as a wonderful opportunity to spread joy among the children of Qatar and to honour and share our traditions. We are pleased to invite all children to come and share the joy of Garangao with us tonight.”
