Qatar's Dahlan Al Hamad (pictured) was reelected as International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Vice-President for a new four-year term. Al Hamad was reelected at the 50th IAAF Congress which was held in Beijing on Wednesday, on the sidelines of the IAAF World Championships due to kick off in Beijing next Saturday. 

Nine candidates competed for the four vice-president positions. The voting was as follows: Ukraine's Sergey Bubka 187 votes, Qatar's Dahlan Al Hamad 159 votes, Cameroon Hamad Kalkaba Malboum 115 votes, and Cuba's Alberto Juantorena Danger 111 votes. Dahlan Al Hamad is President of Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF) as well as President of the Asian Athletics Association (AAA). He has been a Council Member of International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) since 2003 and Vice President since 2007.
