The Gate Mall celebrated Mother’s Day on Friday 21st of March by providing on-the-spot sketches of mothers and their children. The activity was offered to express The Gate Mall’s appreciation and gratitude towards all mothers by combining two meaningful elements, art and emotion, to produce something of sentimental value.

The Gate Mall celebrates Mother 2 [].jpgA talented local artist set up his stationary in the central court area, and sketched mothers and children who walked by between 4:00pm and 10:00pm. Each of his sketches was completed in a span of ten minutes, free of charge. Among the visitors were Doha Mums, who were also invited for this activity.

Commenting on the event, The Gate Mall’s Marketing and PR representative, Isabella Ibrahim said:  “The Gate Mall is delighted to celebrate Mother’s Day with its visitors. Pictures and illustrations are a special way to preserve memories, and that is why we came up with this idea. We really wanted to extend our appreciation to mothers; hence we contacted the largest group that connects over 1,500 mothers in Doha by sharing their different skills, backgrounds and cultures to support and motivate each other. We were very delighted with their attendance and we hope all mothers have enjoyed this special gesture.”

By the end of the day, the local artist had sketched many mothers and children proving the activity a success, cheering mall pedestrians and adding to the overall joyful atmosphere of the mall.
