IBQ announced today its sponsorship of the Second Qatar International Business Women Forum (QIBWF) organized by the Qatari Business Women Association and Interactive Business Network  which will be held on May 17 and 18 at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha. The bank will also have a presence at the event following the recent launch of the IBQ Ladies Banking package, Qatar's first comprehensive Ladies banking service.

Held under the auspices of Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, the forum will be held under the theme of "Women Counted: Challenges Become Opportunities" and will see in attendance over 600 high profile business women from around the world.. The Forum will be chaired by HE Sheikha Al Anood Bint Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani and vice-chaired by Mrs. Aisha Hussain Al Fardan.

The QIBWF will highlight the key issues that are related to the economic empowerment of women in the Arab world and their growing role in business. Some of the key topics include access to finance, leading with emotional intelligence, challenges facing women in family businesses, the role of NGOs in uplifting the achievements of businesswomen and the organizational capabilities and strategies needed in managing SMEs.

The forum will also analyze a number of broader business issues that are of particular interest to the Gulf countries and the Arab world at large.
