For the first time in its five year history, Cityscape Qatar 2016, the only international real estate development and investment event in the State of Qatar, will feature free-to-attend seminars for industry professionals and those members of the wider public who are interested in learning the secrets of profitable real estate investment and understanding how to build a quality international property portfolio at Cityscape Qatar Talks 2016.

The seminars will run daily throughout Cityscape Qatar 2016 which will take place from April 26-28, 2016 at the newly opened Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). The Cityscape Qatar Talks 2016 will provide attendees with insights on a number of wide ranging topics, including ‘International Property Investment’ as well as ‘Real Estate Valuation and Transactions Trends in the GCC Region’, and will place a particular focus on Qatar, the UAE, Turkey, the UK and US real estate sectors. 

As part of the Cityscape Qatar Talks 2016, Cityscape Qatar 2016 announced a number of key relevant themes for the general public including Trends and Outlooks, Real Estate Sectors, Investment Hotspots along with Design and Sustainability, with the Talks expected to attract hundreds of visitors including seasoned investors, experienced consultants, tested industry experts along with first time investors. Qatar’s real estate sector is increasingly relevant given that in 2016 the country’s GDP growth is projected for between 6.5%-7% compounded with a rapidly growing population that continues to drive the local demand for real estate.

Highlights over the three days of the Cityscape Qatar Talks 2016 include ‘Top Tips for Investing in the London Property Market’, ‘Exploring Turkey: Investment Opportunities’, as well as ‘Real Estate Valuation and Transactions Trends in the GCC Region’. In recent years, both the UAE and Turkey have emerged as key markets for foreign investments for people living in the State of Qatar and actively looking to diversify their property portfolio. Cityscape Turkey which was held in March 2016, witnessed a strong interest from both regional and international investors, who made up a portion of the exhibition’s visitors.

Ahmed Zakaria, Exhibition Director, speaking on behalf of Cityscape Qatar said: “Cityscape Qatar’s unique seminar sessions, Cityscape Qatar Talks, are designed to bring together visitors with both regional and international speakers, as both first time and seasoned investors learn the secrets of profitable real estate investments. This year we have placed a greater emphasis on looking at the market trends and expected forecasts that will shape the industry in the coming months, as well as which investment hotspots are the most relevant to citizens in Qatar who are looking to invest into an overseas property.”

Additionally, Cityscape Qatar presents an invitation-only forum on the first day titled the Cityscape Qatar Market Overview part of the Cityscape Conferences international portfolio of events will start with a Qatar Market Overview presentation by Edd Brookes, General Manager of DTZ. This will be followed by a one-on-one interview with Mr. Nasser Al Ansari, Chairman of Just Real Estate (JRE), Platinum Sponsor, who will also be launching at this year’s event. The day will round out with an expert panel on ‘The Role of Real Estate in Achieving Qatar’s Long Term Goals’ which will analyse the sustainability of Qatar’s real estate market and future growth sectors, the anticipated impact of Qatar’s infrastructure spending spree along with the adoption of professional standards, enforcing best practices through legislation and market transparency, among others.

Cityscape Qatar 2016, recently confirmed 90 leading local, regional and international exhibitors for its event, which will once again be held under the Patronage His Excellency, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior for the State of Qatar and will officially be inaugurated by H.E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani on the 26th of April.
