Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company (Muntajat) will expand its customer base to 120 countries by 2015, Muntajat CEO Abdulrahman Ali al Abdulla has said.
 
Talking to Qatar Tribune on the sidelines of Wakrah Beach clean-up campaign to mark the Waste Free Environment Day in Qatar, Abdulla said, "At present we are exporting to 80 countries. Within a year of its establishment, Muntajat has succeeded in finding new customers across the globe and we are all set to widen our customer base to at least 120 countries by 2015."
 
Muntajat, a one-stop shop for all chemicals, polymers and fertilisers exports from Qatar by consolidating marketing and delivery channels for the benefit of worldwide customers, is also planning to sell the entire petrochemical products produced in Qatar.

"Till date we are selling 90 percent of all the petrochemical items produced in Qatar. We hope that the rest will also be included in our portfolio by the end of this year," Abdulla said. He also said that the company is planning to increase its number of customers. "Right now, we have 5,000 customers all across the globe. We hope the number will increase as we are adding new products to our portfolio. Right now we have 18 products in our portfolio," Abdulla said. 
 
Muntajat was established by the government of Qatar with the exclusive rights to purchase, market, distribute and sell all over the world all specified regulated chemical and petrochemical products produced in Qatar. Muntajat operates through 36 offices spread around the globe in addition to a number of logistic establishments and warehouses that support its activities of marketing, sales and distribution.
 
Talking about Muntajat success in the last one year, the CEO said,"Conceived as the gateway to Qatar's chemical and petrochemical production companies, Muntajat has already begun to demonstrate its unique proposition to Qatar's chemical, polymer and fertiliser exports, effectively reducing lead times and developing strong service relationships with new and existing customers worldwide."
