With the support of the Management of Industrial Cities, Ras Laffan industrial City Community Outreach Program and the Community Policing arranged Eid Al-Fitr celebrations at Al Thakhira Youth Center and Al Kabaan Youth Center from the 9th – 11th of August . “Eid Sa’eed” was the theme of the event meaning happy Eid which was reflected in the different activities and shows that were held at these youth centers.

In order to have a special distinctive celebrations this year for the first time the Management of Industrial Cities through Ras Laffan Industrial City Community Outreach program has set a special family entertainment program for 3 consecutive days starting from the second day of Eid Al-Fitr to participate the northern communities of all its members and particularly children, the joy and the joy of the Eid.

Al Thakhira Youth Center program included different shows from the Egyptian circus and traditional Skirt dance “Tannorah” which added an unparalleled atmosphere of fun and entertainment this year. In addition to that were numerous recreational activities provided by various popular local bands and special gifts were distributed during the competitions. “The program was unique and different this year and we are delighted that attendees exceeded 1000 people to participate in these ceremonies, we thank the Management of Industrial Cities through Ras Laffan Industrial City Community Outreach Program on the outstanding efforts and constant communication with the northern communities and for their participation in various events throughout the year.” Said Mr Ali Lahdan Al-Mohannadi, Director of Al-Thakhira Youth Center.

As for Al-Kabaan Youth Center, festivities were organized in a different style, it has included shows from the local folklore dance “ Al- Arda” to be completed by honoring the elderly in this special occasion. The children enjoyed the different activities arranged that included cartoon characters, carnival games, soap playground and many more. Gifts were also distributed for the kids participating in the different competitions that were held during these days.

"This is a beautiful gesture from the Management of Industrial Cities through Ras Laffan Industrial City Community Outreach Program and we are grateful for the permanent support for the youth centers by the organization of these events which in turn brings the people of the community in an atmosphere full of happiness and joy” Said Mr. Mubarak Al- Kabaan, Director of Al-Kabaan Youth Center.

Both events were organized with the support of the Management of Industrial Cities through Ras Laffan Industrial Community Outreach Program and the Community Policing which never hesitates to join the local community members in the northern regions in their various occasions.  

The Community out Reach program is a grassroots level initiative from Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) to open a dialog with the community in the North of Qatar around RLIC and form a bridge of communication and collaboration, and to understand the needs of the Northern Communities, recognise the people’s wishes and give them the tools and training to build a prosperous future for themselves.

“These Gatherings and festivities are only a confirmation of a spirit of partnership and to strengthen the relationship between all the different categories of the community and between the different generations in order to sustain the Qatari heritage, one of the key messages that Ras Laffan Industrial City Community Outreach carries” said a spokesperson of the Community Outreach Program.
