The inaugural KATARA Beachball Championship received an overwhelming response from participating teams and spectators on Friday.

In Friday’s event,  Semaismah recorded a narrow 7-5 victory over Khalifa South in Group B clash, as Al-Luqtah defeated Al-Shammal 8-5 in the second playoff and Al-Manaseer outclassed Ain Khalid 6-2 in the third match.

About 12 teams are competing in the event,  Group A: Khalifa North, Al-Dafna, Al-Markhia and Qatar team, Group B: Al-Wakrah, Semaismah, Al-Muntazh, Khalifa South and Group C: Al-Shammal, Al Manaseer, Al-Luqtah, Ain Khalid.

The event is  jointly organised by Al-Firjan (Areas) Committee  of Aspire Zone and  the Cultural Village Foundation (CVF).

The Organising Committee allocated QR 200,000 prize money for top two teams alongside, best scorer and the fair play awards.
