Qatar Airways on Sunday announced sizzling summer fares from Doha to a host of destinations across the Middle East in time for the busy holiday season. Dubai leads in with return fares from QR770, followed by Bahrain at QR850 and Abu Dhabi at QR980. Kuwait, Muscat, Khartoum and Aleppo also feature in the promotion, with tickets valid for sale and travel between June 12 and August 24.

The fares come with no hidden costs – all are inclusive of airport taxes, fuel surcharges and checked baggage. Terms and conditions apply and tickets are nonrefundable. The summer promotion comes ahead of the school holidays and summer exodus as Qataris and expatriates prepare for their annual vacations.

Qatar Airways CEO Akbar al Baker said the promotion was a great start to the summer, giving customers a welcome boost ahead of the holiday rush. “We are bringing some cheers to those planning a vacation in the region by introducing these excellent value offers,” he said. “Normally, such offers are only valid for a few weeks, but Qatar Airways has introduced these for the entire summer season enabling our customers to take advantage of them for a much longer period.” Al Baker said that with the Doha–Dubai route among the most popular in Qatar Airways’ network, take-up of seats on the multiple services was expected to be even higher as a result of the promotional drive.

Over the next few months, Qatar Airways embarks on a new wave of route expansion, namely to Venice (June 15); Montreal (June 29); Medina (July 14); Kolkata (July 27); Sofia (September 14); Oslo (October 5); Entebbe (November 2); Baku (November 30); and Tblisi (November 30).
