The world’s most skilled and stylish female tennis champions will descend upon Qatar this month for the 2014 Qatar Total Open, the annual ladies World Tennis Association (WTA) Tour event, which is being held at Doha's Khalifa International Tennis Complex from February 10th to 16th. Qatar Duty Free (QDF), the official bronze sponsor of the event, will turn up the glamour and glitz with an exciting range of retail offers and promotions during the tournament.

QDF, Qatar’s award winning duty free operator, will add to the tennis extravaganza with a dedicated shopping booth at the public village, conveniently located within the tennis complex. Spectators will be able to indulge in a dose of retail therapy and choose from a wide selection of fashion items such as apparel, bags, jewellery and sunglasses, as well as confectionery, souvenirs and electronics. Exciting complimentary gifts are also in store for visitors who make purchases of more than QR 350.

Keith Hunter, Senior Vice-President, Qatar Duty Free, commented; “Qatar Total Open is a spectacular event that brings together world class sporting excellence with style and excitement. It is an occasion that attracts Doha’s diverse, international community each year, alongside many spectators from abroad. QDF is pleased to once again support the event with our unique blend of retail promotions, offers and giveaways that we are confident visitors will appreciate and enjoy.”

Launched in 2001, the Qatar Total Open was the first professional women’s tennis tournament to be staged in the Middle East. With the likes of world champion and style icon, Serena Williams, and defending champion, Victoria Azarenka, heading up the tournament, the event promises to be a gripping affair, with Doha’s chic and fashionable international community expected to turn up in their droves.
