Qatar Project Management (QPM), one of the region's premier project management companies and the first Qatari firm in the field of project management is participating in the Green Building Solutions Conference and Exhibition 2011.

This inaugural conference is organized by the Barwa and Qatari Diar Research Institute (BQDRI) and willtake place at the Intercontinental Hotel from the 2nd to 4th of March. This unique gathering will host 500 local and international construction and environmental experts.

The forum will also provide a series of workshops, presentations and speeches, including an introduction to the Qatar Sustainability Assessment System (QSAS).Mr. Salah Nezar,one of QPM’s sustainability specialists, will address “ThePath Towards Net-Zero EnergyBuilding in the GCC” endeavoring to simulate important discussions regarding the process of sustainability solutions throughout the region. 20 years of international experience in delivering award winning projects such as the Zero-Energy Tower in Guangzhou   in China; the United Nation Capital Master Plan in New York City; the Madagascar House at the Bronx Zoo, and the new ChhatrapatiShivaji International Airport in Mumbai.In 2007 Salah was awarded the AIA Sustainability Urban Planning Award and will bring his accumulative experience to the forum.He received also the 2010 -ASHRAE- RAL (Region At Large) Sustainability Award for the his efforts as Chair of the Sustainability Committee for the ASHRAE Falcon Chapter.
