Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) lost 151.58 points (-1.50%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 9,938.28 points. Trading value during this week increased by 13.02% to reach QR 1,300,618,369.19 compared to QR1,150,739,799.19. Trading volume increased by 14.14% to reach 51,423,110 shares, as against 45,053,762 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 0.30%, to reach 16,016 transactions as compared to 13,667 transactions. 

Market capitalization fell by 1.97% to reach QR 532,051,223,533.52 as compared to QR 542,725,491,694.30 at the end of previous week. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 38.77% of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 18.72%. Telecoms sector accounted for 11.40% and Industries sector accounted for 15.37%. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded volume this week with 28.94% of the total traded volume. Telecoms sector accounted for 25.08%. Real Estate sector accounted for 29.38% and Transportation sector accounted 7.35%. 

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 32.17% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 23.91%. Real Estate sector accounted for 15.93% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 11.29%. From the 44 listed companies 6 ended this week higher, while 36 fell and two unchanged. The Ezdan Holding Group led trading value during this week accounted for 10.86% of the total trading value. Vodafone Qatar accounted for 9.04% and the Commercial Bank ranked third, accounting for 8.08%.
