Qatargas provides quality medical services to all its employees and their families. Medical services are available for employees at the Plant Medical Centre in Ras Laffan as well as the clinic at the Company’s Doha Head Office building. Employees and families living in Al Khor Housing Community have access to the Community Clinic while the Company’s medical centre operating in the Al Ahli Hospital in Doha caters to the medical needs of employees and families residing in Doha.

In addition to providing primary health care to employees and families, Qatargas also actively pursues health awareness and disease prevention initiatives. Periodic health checks are conducted for all employees in order to ensure a healthy and productive workforce.  Specific health campaigns such as ‘healthy heart campaign’ are also held for employees at their work locations in Doha and Ras Laffan.

Qatargas’ health-related initiatives also include awareness sessions and events promoting healthy lifestyles for families in the Company’s residential compounds in Doha and Al Khor. Awareness sessions on children’s diseases, oral hygiene, diabetes awareness, pregnancy-related issues etc. are a few examples of such initiatives. The Company also recently organized a special event for children with special needs.

Last year, the Qatargas Doha Medical Centre was awarded with the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation which is recognised internationally, as a symbol of quality that reflects an organisation’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards that deliver safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.
