As part of its ongoing effort to support initiatives to promote Qatar’s economy, Qatar Development Bank (QDB) recently hosted a high-profile delegation from Vietnam on a visit to the bank and its subsidiaries; Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) and Bedaya Center. 

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Bureau and Deputy Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Bureau, Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Van Doc and included ten other senior leaders and officials from Vietnam. “We are delighted to have hosted the Vietnamese delegation. Such visits underscore the bank’s commitment to showcase our contribution and support of the development of Qatar’s economy through our various financial and non-financial services,” said Hamad Al Kubaisi, Executive Director of Strategy and Business Development, QDB.

Head of the Vietnamese delegation, Nguyen Van Doc, said: “We would like to thank QDB and all supporting entities for providing us with this informative opportunity. Qatar’s robust economy is one of the fastest growing in the world and QDB’s role in providing a range of services to support Qatar’s development is key to Qatar’s growth.” Welcomed by QDB’s Executive Director of Strategy and Business Development, Hamad Al Kubaisi, the delegation was provided a brief introduction of the bank and its various business departments. 

The introduction focused on how the bank promotes and facilitates the growth of the private sector in Qatar within key economic channels. In turn, this support will enable the development of long term, sustainable social and economic benefits across the economy. They were then given the opportunity to listen to employee presentations from business departments including: a corporate & strategy presentation, Al Dhameen, Business Finance, Advisory and Tasdeer.

After the presentations and a tour of the bank, the delegation along with QDB members arrived to the newly launched QBIC in the Industrial Area. The delegation was taken on a tour of the incubation center and was given a presentation on QBIC. Additionally, members from Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development also gave a presentation during their visit to QBIC.
