For those wishing to begin the celebrations early, Darb Al Saai is the main attraction for pre-festivities where diverse activities and performances reflecting Qatar’s rich past and ambitious future are being held. The Qatar Tourism Authority has announced the launch of a free shuttle bus service that will drive visitors from Souq Waqif, passing by City Centre to Darb Al Saai. Opening times run from 8am to noon and 4pm to 10pm until the 20th of December. Fireworks enthusiasts will be delighted to know that the Corniche will be hosting the National Day official fireworks show from 8pm to 8.10pm on the 18th of December. The National Day Parade, one of the most popular celebrations on the Qatar National Day, will take place opposite the Al Rumailah and Al Bidda parks from 8am to 9am. However, we advise you to head before 7am to avoid traffic and enjoy a front row view. For those of you driving to the Corniche, designated parking spots have been set up, and a shuttle service will be available to drive you to the main parade area.

You can always enjoy the celebrations from the comfort of your home and follow the festivities on both Qatar Television and Al Rayyan Television, which will run live web streams.
