Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar Postal Services Company (Q-Post) to help in achieving the mission of the foundation through the postal services that Q-Post provides.

The three-year-long MoU was signed by QFSW Executive Director Amal Abdullatif al Mannai (pictured) and Q-Post Chairman and Managing Director Faleh al Naemi. The MoU aims to support, strengthen, promote, develop and activate the role of the civil society organisations operating under the umbrella of QFSW, develop the strategies, policies and programmes that contribute to the advancement of these centres so that they can achieve the objectives for which they were established.

In addition, the agreement aims to achieve the mission of QFSW through the postal services provided by Q-Post, including, but not limited to the international express service, premium post, courier services, postal management systems, and creating tailor-made services and solutions for the foundation. Mannai said the MoU express hope to take advantage of Q-Post's unique capabilities in its diverse fields of work, believing that MoU would serve the mission of QFSW and the centres under its umbrella in the field of communication with different agencies in order to achieve its goals and bridge the time and location gaps between its partners.

She added that strengthening partnerships between social and service institutions for human development and harnessing the aspirations of civil society to help in that regard is based on creating multiple partnerships with different institutions and companies to serve their objectives of sustainable human development. On his part, Naemi said the MoU would enhance cooperation and consultation between the two parties, pointing to Q-Post's growing role in providing postal and logistic services to several government and private institutions.

He noted that the agreement would serve QFSW and its affiliates as Q-Post provides efficient and effective postal services, including delivery, electronic mail rooms, air freight. He added that partnerships with different institutions require knowledge of their characteristics and methods of work, which helps in providing services in a satisfactory manner and on scientific bases.
