QNB, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, held a blood donation campaign for its employees in cooperation with the Hamad Hospital Blood Donor Center.

The blood donation drive is one of QNB’s many CSR initiatives that the Group holds in co-operation with HMC and other prominent organisations in Qatar and across its international network within its efforts to support the communities in which it operates. Held over 3 days at QNB’s head office, Al Mathaf building and Grand Hamad branch, this year’s campaign successfully brought together employees from all departments.

Building up on the success of the previous editions of the event, the campaign is aimed at strengthening the established objectives of enhancing blood bank stocks at HMC and raising awareness of the importance and benefits of blood donations in the community. The event entitled the staff  to undergo a blood pressure test, stamina and eligibility test prior to their donation to ensure their awareness of the importance of blood donation. It also highlights this importance partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to promote public health and wellbeing. This initiative is one of the pillars of QNB’s CSR strategy, which includes health, environment and other fields.
