The Secretary General of Qatar Red Crescent (QRC), Saleh bin Ali Al Muhanadi, honoured a delegation from Ritz–Carlton, Doha led by Hoss Vetry – Cluster General Manager of the hotel in recognition of their efforts in the success of International Day of Charity, which was held at the Ritz-Carlton tent on September 15.

This day was dedicated to highlight the suffering of families and children in Syria and refugees in neighbouring countries, in addition to “bringing back the joy” to the hearts of Syrian children in Qatar through the provision of recreational activities and games.

 

 

 

Al Muhanadi stressed on the significance of having The Ritz-Carlton, Doha as the official hospitality partner. “We are proud of our partnership and our continued cooperation with The Ritz-Carlton, Doha in implementing our humanitarian projects and I would like to thank the hotel team who contributed greatly to the success of this event and returned joy to the Syrian children in Qatar,” he said.

Hoss Vetry said: “We are proud of the partnership between The Ritz-Carlton, Doha and Qatar Red Crescent and to look at all the significant events and causes we have pursued together. We, at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha are eager to make a difference in the lives of less privileged people through our community footprints initiatives which we consider as giving back to the community that supported us. Inspiration and contribution to the welfare of the community are the guiding principles to our corporate social responsibility program that we are adopting.”

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha joined Qatar Red Crescent in several charitable activities in the past such as helping in fundraising by having QRC donation boxes in the main lobby, providing meals for workers in Ramadan, the organisation of several events such as “A day without Tobacco” which raised awareness about the dangers of smoking.
