Under the patronage of H.E Sheikh Abdulla bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Qatar University (QU) will host the ceremony to launch the fourth edition of the National CSR Report (Leaders’ Visions) on Wednesday March 2, 2016. During the ceremony H.E. Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani, president of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), will be honored as CSR Person of the Year 2015 in recognition of his significant role in supporting CSR and for being a role model in inspiring the youth of Qatar.

H.E. the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior will present the Report which will be distributed to all Qatari embassies around the world through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one of the partners of the report. Other governmental partners include QOC, Ministry of Economy and Commerce Logistic Committee, and National Security Program (Somod). The academic report documents the achievements of national organizations in CSR, and monitors progress in social development and Qatar National Vision 2030.  This year’s edition is the first academic primary study prepared in Qatar by a group of researchers and students of QU’s College of Business and Economics (CBE) under the supervision of the CSR Committee.

It also includes intellectual contributions from a number of ministers, ambassadors, representatives of international organizations and respected academic personalities in Qatar. Additionally, Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development presented its global vision.  Also contributing to the Report are Qatar Shell, INJAZ Qatar, Asthma Qatar Network, and the embassies of UAE, Sweden, The Netherlands, and Germany.

The report which is part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between QU and the CSR Network, also honors leading companies in CSR, and is sponsored by a number of high-level organizations.
