Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) will start distributing sacrificial meat to needy people from today, said The Peninsula. The charity has allotted 400 animals for sacrifice, received from citizens and expatriates. The meat will be distributed through coupons handed to select families and individuals in advance.

A total of 1,600 coupons was distributed among needy families, widows and low-income expatriates workers. The beneficiaries can collect the meat at the main slaughterhouse in Doha from 7am to 1pm, Al Sharq reports. Groups of give people have been given one coupon, two coupons for up to 10 people, and three coupons to more than 10. Distribution will be completed in two days with 200 animals daily. A special team from the charity’s social service department will supervise distribution. Last year, RAF allotted 250 animals for sacrifice.
