Aspire Zone Foundation has organised a series of community activities for all family members to enjoy as they watch participants compete in a set of physical challenges in hopes of winning the “Qatar’s Strongest Man” title.

Located in Aspire Park’s car park opposite Outdoor Pitch 10, the Fan Zones are designed to accommodate spectators attending the competition. Community activities organised to take place in the Fan Zones will run for two days from December 02-03.

Commenting on growing popularity of the “Qatar’s Strongest Man” event, Mr. Abdullah Al Khater, Manager of Events at Aspire Zone Foundation, said: “Our goal at Aspire Zone Foundation is to continually improve the quality and variety of events we offer to the community. We have seen a huge surge in the number of spectators at “Qatar’s Strongest Man” competition. In response, we have set up several community activities and Fan Zones for all family members to enjoy as part of our work to encourage community participation in sporting events and promote healthy lifestyles.”

Friday’s activities programme:

Friday’s lineup of activities includes performances, a game in which an aerodynamic ring is thrown using a specially designed sword-like staff over distances of 10-30 meters. This activity will take place from 3:00 – 7:00 pm in the Fan Zone area. In addition, sports activities for children will be held from 3:00 – 9:00 pm around the Fan Zones, with stalls offering snacks, healthy drinks and souvenir items open from 2:30 pm – 9:00 pm.

Saturday’s activities programme:

Saturday’s events include training sessions from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm near the Fan Zone area. Children’s sports events will take place from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with the food and souvenir booths open from 2:30 pm – 9:00 pm. Now in its fourth edition, the 2016 “Qatar’s Strongest Man” competition has been designed to be the ultimate test of strength and endurance during which participants compete face-to-face in a number of challenges. The competition is scheduled to take place in Aspire Park car park area, opposite Outdoor Pitch 10 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm, on Friday, December 02nd. Admittance is free for all attendees.
