In line with its international efforts in support of sustainable development,  Sasol, the international integrated chemicals and energy company, today announced the renewal of its membership of the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development. This is a recognition of the long-standing relationship and partnership between the two organisations as they look towards a sustainable future.

H.E. Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah commented: “We are grateful to Sasol for their continued support and involvement in the Qatari and global community. As a global leader in energy, Sasol brings an important perspective and resources to addressing the global challenge of energy sustainability. We hope that our partnership will continue to grow and bear fruit this year and into the future.” Phinda Vilakazi, President of GTL Ventures at Sasol said: “Sasol is proud to partner with The Al-Attiyah Foundation and carry on the more than 40-year legacy of H.E. Al-Attiyah in global energy and sustainable development. We are delighted that our membership will continue to support global conversations while making a difference right here in Doha.”

The Al-Attiyah Foundation uses membership funding to support ongoing research and publishing efforts that contribute to a greater understanding of energy sustainability and energy markets. The Foundation is also the platform for the annual Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards, a high-profile prize that celebrates the legacy of H.E. Al-Attiyah by rewarding individuals for their Lifetime Achievement in advancing fields of work and policy.
