The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) announced the implementation of its strategic plan starting the next academic year 2018/2019, until the five next years in all schools.

This plan goes in line with the National Development Strategy issued by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics, aimed at realizing Qatar National Vision 2030, and the Education and Training Sector Strategy that includes all education sectors in Qatar is part of the National Development Strategy. MOEHE is exerting great endeavors to communicate with all education sectors, both public and private, in the country, to realize the 25 objectives included within the Education and Training Sector Strategy.

This came during the meeting held yesterday with the public schools principals, in the presence of HE Dr Ibrahim al-Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Fawziya al-Khater, MOEHE Undersecretary for Education Affairs, Dr Turki Al Mahmoud, Director of the Planning and Quality Department at MOEHE, and Nouf al-Kaabi, head of the Strategic Planning Section at the Planning and Quality Department. The ministry officials expressed their appreciation to the role played by public school principals, affirming that they are the source of power of the ministry and its main pillar in the field.

The strategy includes several points, such as the institutional development of the ministry, which includes accommodating the staff, fill in the vacancies, defining the job descriptions and responsibilities of the departments as well as the appointment of directors and officials. Another point is foundational education and students, which includes all activities that focuses on education from early childhood until the 12th grade, in addition to the education of students with disabilities.
