Qatar Career Fair (QCF), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, launched its second Summer Career Camp for Qatari nationals at the recreation centre in Education City (pictured) yesterday. Dozens of male and female secondary school students attended the opening session, alongside their parents. The camp, which runs until 4 September, aims to provide Qatari youth with the necessary skills to make informed decisions regarding their future academic and professional paths.

Abdulla Al-Mansoori, Director of Qatar Career Fair, said: “Through this initiative we seek to enhance students' confidence by guiding them to make smart decisions that reflect positively on their future professional and academic choices. We are also able to introduce them to the labour market, as well as the various sectors within the country, to illustrate the needs of the state for the coming years.”

“Additionally, the Qatar Career Fair collaborates with various institutions in the public and private sectors for the implementation of a number of initiatives that will enable Qatar’s young people to prepare for entry into the labour market in various fields,” added Al-Mansoori. “We are also currently working on the development of the Qatar Career Fair to facilitate positive career choices for our children."

During the two-week programme, separate classes will be held for boys and girls. The initiative will include various trips to leading organisations across Qatar, thus offering students first-hand insight into the world of employment. For more information about the QCF Summer Career Camp, please contact: 55456810 or 44546815.
