The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has affirmed that the Syrian and Jordanian sheep being sold out during the holy month of Ramadan are fit for human consumption, said the ministry in a statement. The ministry said that the veterinarians of the health control sections at municipalities have a daily and periodical presence at all slaughterhouses in the country to check and determine whether meat is fit for human consumption. The Ministry assured citizens that its monitoring organs, in coordination and full cooperation with concerned agencies, have a daily presence in slaughterhouses to check that meat bought by consumers are fit for human consumption.
