The Doha Center for Media Freedom (DCMF) organizes a workshop for journalists on searching the internet in English from September, 12 to 14,  2011 at Oryx Rotana Hotel in Doha. The three-day event discusses possibilities, limitations and scopes of online research and how to take first steps into the digital revolution and translate that into work.

The trainees will learn how to identify whether a source of information is reliable or not, legal and ethical issues of information, texts and multimedia, how to share data on the internet with their communities.

The Doha Center for Media Freedom is an international institution formally created on December 7, 2007 by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and opened in October 2008 in Doha. The DCMF's stated purpose is to provide physical refuge for threatened journalists, as well as to support freedom of the press by other activities.
