Crowds were wooed on Wednesday night when four and One simultaneously inaugurated two exciting festivals sharing a common association of providing a better quality of life through education, sports and entertainment.

The first editions of both the Xtreme Sports Festival (XSF) and the Kids & Schools Edutainment Festivals (KSEF) will run from February 28 – March 3, 2018 at the Park Hotel, Sheraton in Doha with fascinating and diverse range of info and adrenalin entertainment.

The launch of both festivals was officially opened last night by the Director of Private Schools Licensing Department Ministry of Education Hamad Al Ghali, Raya Services founder and Event partner Yousef Al Jassim, Aqeeq Holdings P/L Chairman Michael Ibrahim, Aqeeq Holdings Director of Comm. Shahid Khan, Food Festival representatives Shama Al Dossari, Aisha Al Tamimi, Four and One Chairman Omran Al Sherawi and Chief Executive Officer Fernando De Guama. After the inauguration the Australian dignitary Ibrahim commended the event organisers saying, “It’s a great honor to be in Qatar and seeing all these people going about their normal business and enjoying themselves. It really is extremely remarkable”.

The XSF, the largest of its kind in Doha, saw young riders from all over the world competing in the opening heats of their discipline that included BMX, skateboarding, roller blading, wakeboarding and general free style maneuvers. Four and One Chairman, Omran Al Sherawi said “Xtreme Sports are becoming more popular in Qatar and the followership is increasing at an encouraging rate. Four and One is proud to organize the first edition of the festival which is aimed at further boosting the sport in Qatar”. “It’s exciting to watch the athletes defy gravity with so much heart. You can see the riders expressing their inner physical capabilities in an attempt to assert their skill and dominance”.

Chief Executive Officer of Four and One, Fernando De Guama reiterate the chairman’s words saying “We are happy to organize this festival which is the first of its kind. It is part of our concerted plan to develop business and tourism in Qatar”. “Watching the competitors throwing themselves and their machines in the air is quite extreme. They take high risks and put their bodies on the line to claim supremacy. I’m sure young kids are inspired by the skill and ability on display.” Also attracting the crowds and families was the Kids, School and Edutainment Festival which afforded a premier experience for parents and kids looking for school information and enrolments. The exhibited schools were able to provide parents a unique opportunity to shift through the maze of education decisions.

The KSEF kept kids busy at bay with more than 35 exhibitors each providing their own unique educational touches including - non-stop readings on multiple stages, cooking demos by celebrity chefs, poetry readings and workshops, panel discussions, walking tours, storytellers, hands-on projects for kids, street theater, live music, inflatable entertainment and a delicious variety of food and beverages.

De Guama said, “Going by tonight’s attendance it is obvious the School and Edutainment Festival has presented itself as a strong and effective marketing platform for schools who are able to reach out to eager parents seeking holistic education for their children in a good school”. “Rather than wait for school open day we thought it best to bring schools under one locale in a fun, informative and educational atmosphere. Being away from the walls of schools it is hoped parents and school representatives can better communicate on the profiling of children and facilities”.

The fun, hip, smart and diverse festivals are proudly sponsored by Corona, Bambo Nature, QCP, Bedaya, Qatar Living, XTork, Urban Point, Talabat, Zomato, Marhaba, Radio Olive, & QTouch Media. The four days event is open from 3.00pm – 11.00pm and is expected to attract thousands of families and youths who will be actively entertained and challenged.
