Young sports men and women from Kuwait and Qatar have the chance to earn sought-after scholarships in the US thanks to special trial days being held in both countries next week.

The first ever assessment events of their kind to be held in both Kuwait and Qatar are being hosted by FirstPoint USA, the world's leading authority in American sports and academic scholarships. The trial day in Kuwait is open to male and female footballers, basketball players and volleyball players and will also provide general information on studying in the US. The Qatar event is open to male and female footballers and rugby players.

As the official recruitment partner of American college governing body the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA), FirstPoint is responsible for sourcing high quality sporting and academic talent to gain scholarships to study in the States. Working with 2,500 US colleges and universities since 2001, to date FirstPoint has secured more than $200 million in scholarship awards for approximately 12,000 athletes. FirstPoint’s first ever assessment event in Kuwait takes place on Wednesday 11th December at the English School Fahaheel, with registration from 17:30 local time. The inaugural assessment events in Qatar take place on Thursday 12th December – the football trial is at Evolution Sports (Doha College – Al Waab) in the afternoon while the rugby trial takes place at Doha Rugby Club in the evening.
